Is Kambo right for me?

Working with Kambo is not an easy or light experience. It is referred to as an ‘ordeal medicine**’. The immediate effects of Kambo are intense and unpleasant but short-lived. Despite the uncomfortable purgatory experience, Kambo seems to provide significant advantages to individuals suffering from physical and emotional health issues. Many assert that enduring the discomfort is worthwhile.

Kambo is safe when given by a properly trained practitioner. However, there are some conditions for which Kambo is contraindicated.

What is Kambo?

Kambo is a traditional healing practice originating from the Amazon rainforest, primarily used by indigenous tribes in South America. It involves applying the secretions of the Phyllomedusa bicolor, a tree frog commonly known as the giant monkey frog, onto the skin. The secretion is collected without causing harm to the frog.

The inherent chemical compounds found in the Kambo secretion synergistically interact with various physiological functions in the human body -  facilitating cleansing, detoxification, harmonization, and self-healing on multiple levels—physical, mental, and emotional.

THE MAGIC IS IN THE PEPTIDES

Studies conducted since the 1990's revealed that Kambo, in addition to other compounds, consists of peptides—short chains of amino acids. These peptides interact harmoniously with human physiology, facilitating and stimulating various essential functions.

The peptides aid in the detoxification and activation of the lymphatic and endocrine systems, support the adrenal glands, and strengthen the body's innate immune and defense mechanisms.
